Large 1920s Antique German 24 inch Dream Baby Doll - SOLD Dating to the mid 1920s, this lovely big antique German Armand Marseille Dream Baby doll is a harder to find large size of 24 inches. A perfect size for pram, chair or cot display, she is beautifully presented in antique cotton and lace clothing including gown, lace jacket, bonnet and undergarments. Lovely bisque with good colour, no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a few minor rubs to hair. She has blue sleep eyes, almost all lid wax and retains both her bottom teeth. On her original big chunky composition baby body in excellent condition for years, tip of one finger missing otherwise all fingers/toes intact. Light dust and a couple of small marks to outfit otherwise super for age. She's marked "AM Germany 351/8K".
Antique English Chad Valley Cloth Doll in Original Summer Outfit - SOLD Circa 1920s/30s antique English Chad Valley cloth doll with labels retained to both feet and dress label too. 13 inches in height with blue glass eyes, original mohair wig and jointed head/limbs (slight wobble to head). Doll, wig and outfit are all dusty with a few small marks to outfit. Her original outfit includes dress, slip, matching knickers, bonnet and shoes. Although she's dusty there are no odours to doll or outfit of any kind.
Ca 1890s Antique German Bisque Armand Marseille 1894 - SOLD Late 19th century antique German Armand Marseille doll dating to circa mid 1890s. A stunning early mould 1894, she's 20 inches in height with superbly moulded bisque head, well defined features, no chips cracks or hairlines. She has the most beautiful deepest brown glass eyes in their factory fixed set, original soft blonde hair wig and open mouth with perfect row of teeth. She's on her fully jointed wood and composition body (these early long thigh bodies were known as "broomstick" bodies"). Possibly some refill to one forearm but nicely matched if so (this may be just a factory flaw). A few surface hairlines to top torso and light expected paint scuffs here and there but overall good and strong, all fingers and toes intact. Wearing her original factory chemise in good clean condition. Chemise currently fastens with a safety pin but there's no evidence of ever being fasteners. A totally adorable harder to find AM doll for display marked "1894 - Made in Germany" RARE.. Antique German Armand Marseille Walking Mama Child Doll - SOLD Rare find large antique German bisque head walking mama child doll by Armand Marseille dating to circa 1910. She's 24 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, all her hair lashes, open mouth, teeth and original (slightly untidy) mohair wig. The bisque head has no play chips, cracks or hairlines. She's on her original wood and composition walking body with light play wear and areas of surface paint cracking to torso but overall good, strong and sturdy, all fingers and toes intact. Remarkably after all these years the walking and mama mechanisms still work nicely with good head turning action as she walks and delightful "honking" cry for "Mama"!!. Despite being fully jointed the Armand Marseille walking dolls were not designed to be seated. Wearing a genuine antique Victorian gown with lots of beautiful detail to it (hard to appreciate on photos). Gown in lovely condition for over 100 years old but colour a little greyed and is creased from storage. Also wearing the full length cotton slip, long knickers, socks and shoes, all look to be original to doll. She's marked "Armand Marseille 390 Germany A 6 1/2 M".
Antique German Schoenau & Hoffmeister Bisque Doll - mould 1923 - SOLD Early 1920s antique German Schoenau & Hoffmeister bisque child doll, a harder to find mould number "1923". She's 20 inches in height with brown sleep eyes, all her lashes, open mouth, teeth and original mohair wig which is very short and untidy. She's on her original ball jointed body with composition wear to one foot and damage to the hands (one finger missing, 3 have been roughly glued) otherwise good and strong for years. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, marked "1923 SPBH" (in a star) "Germany". She presents well in vintage dress, hooded cape, antique cotton slip, ankle length lace trimmed knickers and newer socks (no shoes).
Antique German Armand Marseille AM390 Bisque Doll - 22 inches - SOLD Circa 1910 antique German Armand Marseille 390n doll, 22 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, open mouth, teeth and original soft hair wig (lightly dusty). The bisque head has no cracks, chips or hairlines. She's on her original wood and composition ball jointed body which is surface grubby with some paint wear/crazes, hands overpainted and couple of fingers have been repaired. Area to tops of thighs/hips has old repaint. Wearing a lovely antique outfit of white cotton and lace dress, half slip, short full slip along with vintage straw hat and home made black stockings (no shoes). All garments in excellent clean condition. She's marked "Armand Marseille - Germany - 390n A6M ".
RARE Antique British Bisque Doll Potteries Co. Child Doll - 23 inches - SOLD The antique British bisque dolls are especially hard to find as they were only made for such a short time so I was thrilled to find this beautiful large example at 23 inches in height!. Made by Doll Potteries England (circa 1910 - 1915), she has the most beautiful blue glass eyes in their original factory fixed set and lovely braided mohair wig which is nice and full. She's on her original straw stuffed cloth body with a few age stains and couple of old patches to upper arms otherwise good, sturdy condition for years. The bisque shoulder head, lower arms and legs are all superb, no chips, cracks or hairlines. Wearing antique outfit of cotton and lace trimmed fitted slip, sleeveless pink lace trimmed dress (this has tearing around arms), old woolen cardi (age worn) along with vintage black shiny shoes and socks. She's fully incised with the Doll Potteries Queen's head logo & "DPCo. 38" to back of her shoulderhead.
1920s Antique German Armand Marseille 518 Baby Doll - 19 inches - SOLD Dating to the 1920s, this delightful happy faced antique German AM 518 bisque head baby doll is 19 inches in height. A beautiful clean baby boy for display with blue sleep eyes and open mouth with both his teeth. Beautifully moulded bisque head with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Baby is on his original composition bent limb body with minor wear to torso rim, light paint rubs to hands and couple of small finger chips but overall wonderful sturdy condition for years, he was obviously well treasured. Nicely presented in modern baby boy outfit all good and clean. He's marked "AM Germany 518/ 61/2K".
Antique 1930s Patsy Type Composition Doll - "Patrick" - SOLD "Patrick" is a fabulous 1930s "Patsy type" American composition doll who can be displayed as a boy or a girl!!. The original "sewn up" polka dot swimsuit is reatained underneath the antique boy outfit of shirt and dungarees (straw hat is a later addition). Patrick is 17 inches in height with sleep eyes (just the tiniest remains of lashes), beautiful colouring and excellent complexion with lovely roses to cheeks. Overall wonderful condition for years, light dust to the composition but no repaint, restoration or fading of any kind. All fingers and toes are intact and excellent original factory finish is retained. Patrick has no maker's mark.
1950s Large Pedigree Delite Hard Plastic Toddler Doll (in party dress) - SOLD 1950s Pedigree hard plastic toddler doll, 20 inches in height with blue flirty sleep eyes, all lashes and nice moulded curls. A good clean doll with the usual non working mama. light scuffing to hair paint, a couple of hard to spot faint facial lines (v. minor) and complexion slightly pale. No cracks or odours of any kind, she's an adorable toddler for display. Beautifully presented in immaculate peachy pink party dress with flower decoration at the waist, dress just a tad big in the bodice but still looks delightful on her. She's marked "Pedigree Made in England".
All Original Antique Chad Valley Cloth Child Doll - 18 inches - SOLD Circa 1920s/30s antique English cloth Chad Valley child doll, a fabulous example with Chad Valley labels retained to seam of coat and soles of feet. Eighteen inches in height, she's all original with superb hair and perfect painted features. Her original outfit of dress, knickers, coat and hat are very good for years, just light dust and minor fading to the felt coat and hat. She's been carefully stored away most of her life so there's no damage or odours and apart from light dust/couple of minor handling smudges to face she's very clean for years.
All Original - Antique Armand Marseille Dream Baby Boy Doll - SOLD How adorable is this little boy!!.. he's a harder to find smaller sized Armand Marseille Dream baby dating to the mid 1920s. Just 9.5 inches in height, he comes complete with his original outfit and partial box (no lid). He has a lovely little face with pouty closed mouth and tiny blue sleep eyes. The bisque head has no play damage, just fine hard to spot firing line to inner corner of one eye (from the factory). His straight leg composition body has been been kept in fabulous condition by the original outfit, just a couple of small finger chips. The original pinned on outfit is dusty with age wear but still displays well on him. The plain card lower box is quite worn but kept him well all these years. He's marked "GERMANY AM 341".
Huge Antique German Armand Marseille AM390 Bisque Doll - SOLD Dating to circa 1910 this wonderful large antique German Armand Marseille doll is a magnificent 28 inches in height. A beautifully presented big girl in her original/antique outfit of stunning cotton and lace work dress, integral slip, heavy woolen petticoat, knitted vest and antique long lace trimmed knickers, along with (worn) vintage shoes and cotton socks. She has fixed blue glass eyes, open mouth, all her teeth and lovely soft light brown antique wig. The bisque head has a fine factory firing flaw line through the inscription but no play cracks or chips. The original chunky wood and composition ball jointed body is in excellent original condition for years, no repaint or restoration, all fingers and toes intact. She's marked "Armand Marseille - Germany - 390 A10M ".
Tiny Antique German Armand Marseille Dream Baby Doll - 8 inches - SOLD So sweet!!.. this smaller sized Armand Marseille Dream baby dates to the mid 1920s and is just 8 inches in height. Harder to find on the coresponding bent leg/straight leg, bent arm/ straight arm composition body, she has an adorable little face with seriously pouty closed mouth and beautiful cornflower blue sleep eyes. If you look closely to the enlarged close up, this baby has a tiny chip to one upper eye socket otherwise the bisque head is excellent. Baby wears her original factory shift along with coat and bonnet originally knitted for her. She's marked "GERMANY AM 341 3 1/2".

RARE.. 1950s Pedigree Delite HP Baby Walker Doll - 21 inches - SOLD Dating to the early 1950s this large hard plastic baby walker doll is the seldom found 21 inch example from Pedigree's Delite series. A very handsome flirty/sleep eyed walking baby with pouty closed mouth, all his lashes and hand assisted walking action which works well. A clean baby with good facial colour and nice shine to his plastic, no odours of any kind. Baby has a small crack in the curve of one hip and stable crack to the back of one calf/ankle area. Usual non working mama. Excellent hair paint and superb complexion with just a couple of teeny rubs to the blush. Just as found in vintage dungarees and knitted vest, he's marked "Pedigree - Made in England".
Large 1950s Hard Plastic Roddy Baby Doll - (in French Romper Suit) - SOLD Roddy's largest size British hard plastic baby doll dating to the 1950s. 21 inches in height with bright blue sleep eyes, virtually all lashes, great hair paint and pouty closed mouth. A lovely clean example with super colour and shine to his plastic and nice complexion with just teeny rubs to blush and fine facial line to nose tip and forehead. Light scuffing around torso seams (possibly from manufacture) and usual non working mama but no real signs of play to this baby. So handsomely dressed in vintage French romper suit and a white knitted beret, all in good clean condition. He's marked "Roddy - 21 - Made in England".
1950s Black Pedigree Walker 16" Doll - Mama works! - SOLD "Alice" is a beautiful 1950s Pedigree Delite hard plastic walking doll in fabulous condition for her years. She's 16 inches in height with flirty sleep eyes, all lashes, astrakhan wig, pierced ears (no earrings) and open mouth with tongue/teeth. Alice is a very clean doll retaining excellent colour/shine to her plastic and has a good strong walking action. Only minor play to this doll.. the original little owner neatly painted Alice's nails with pearly nail polish (easily removed if desired) but no plastic cracks or odours of any kind. Her mama will even still give a little squeak for you!. Wearing the lovely dress made for her in the 1950s along with white cotton apron, knickers and Cinderella shoes. Ginny is 8 inches in height with blue sleep eyes and original braided wig (slightly untidy). Her sweet little walking action works well (once she gets going!) and the knees bend well. Ginny has light blush remaining to cheeks (lightly rubbed). Her plastic is good, clean and shiny with no cracks or odours. Ginny wears a lovely 1950s untagged dress, cotton socks and bow front Cinderella shoes. Her ribbons are new and I have added the heart shaped Ginny stand which was made for the modern Ginnys but perfect for displaying this original 50s Ginny too!. Vintage Hard Plastic Madame Alexander Bent Knee Dutch Girl Doll - SOLD Circa early 1960s all original Madame Alexander hard plastic "Dutch Girl" doll, 8 inches in height with green sleep eyes, hard plastic lashes and immaculate original braided wig. A totally delightful little girl for display wearing her superb condition outfit complete with it's full undergarments, socks, shoes and sweet little basket of flowers!. No dust, dirt or odours of any kind, The knees are a little stiff to bend after all these years and her complexion would have been a little rosier when new otherwise I really can't fault her at all. Antique German Baby Doll with Original Box & Layettte - SOLD Dating to circa 1910 - 1920 this wonderful rare find antique German baby doll comes with her original wooden box and full layette of original clothing. Completely all original, she's still secured to box with the factory strings and has never been removed. Made from composition with perfect painted features, she's in fabulous condition for her many years with only dust from storage and tiny amount of wear to the silk gown. I can just make out her maker's markings "811 Germany" to her back without disturbing her from box too much. Her fabulous layette of clothing includes fine silk gown, cotton slip, knickers, fine crochet cardigan plus the outfit she's wearing of dress, bonnet, knickers, vest, bootees, fine crochet bib and tiny dummy. She's 5 inches in height, box approx 9.5 inches x 6.5 inches.

Ca 1930s Arranbee Nancy Antique Composition Doll - SOLD Circa 1930s American composition Arranbee "Nancy" doll, 19 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, full lashes, open mouth, tongue/teeth and excellent vintage replacement braided wig. Nancy has light crazing to face and body, a little rubbing to lip paint otherwise lovely clean condition for years with nice colour and shine to her composition. All fingers and toes are intact, no repaint of restoration of any kind. Nancy wears a nice old homemade? outfit of dress and matching hat along with knitted socks and more modern shoes. Hat would benefit hat pin or ribbon ties to keep it in place. Dress has some wear and old mends but still displays really well. A very pretty Nancy doll for display marked "Nancy" to her neck.
Large British Hard Plastic Roddy Walker Doll in Original Dress and Bonnet - SOLD Dating to the 1950s this lovely big chunky hard plastic Roddy walker doll is 21 inches in height. Good clean shiny plastic, open mouth with tongue/teeth, blue eyes (these no longer sleep), hard plastic lashes and original bright golden blonde mohair wig (clean and full but slightly untidy). Her walking action is perfect and her colouring excellent. She has the usual non working mama and top of torso has what looks to be a factory hairline flaw in the plastic with a teeny amount of filler but it doesn't spoil her and she looks perfect when dressed. Her fabulous original polka dot dress and matching bonnet are in excellent condition for years and fasten with the original gold safety pins at the back. The Cinderella shoes and socks are later additions, mint condition. She's marked "Roddy - Made in England".
1950s Antique Chiltern Hugmee Teddy 12" Bear - Working Squeaker! - SOLD Dating to the 1950s, this very sweet old English Chiltern Hugmee bear (no label) is 12 inches in height. Fully jointed with original plastic nose, eyes, velveteen pads and fully working squeaker in his tummy!. Little ted has bald areas to his fur (mostly face, tummy and arms) and foot pads are holed, exposing the foot card to toes and heels. Light age dust but no stains or odours of any kind.
1950s German Hermann Cinnamon Old Teddy Bear - SOLD Rare find all original 1950s German blonde tip cinnamon mohair Hermann Teddy Bear (no label) who's 16 inches in height. A very handsome old ted with amber and black glass eyes, blonde inset short pile muzzle/inner ears and black vertically stitched nose. He's fully jointed (joints just a tiny bit swingy) with felt pads, black claw stitching and inoperative tilt growler in his tummy. Just minor fur wear and right paw pad and foot pad are holed otherwise excellent clean condition for his years.
1950s Pedigree Old English Teddy Bear "Pattison" - SOLD "Pattison" is a 1950s British Pedigree teddy bear (no label), a wonderful old character who I'm told travelled with his orignal owner to boarding school in the late 50s/early 60s (family surname "Pattison" label to his foot). Sadly most of his fur has been loved away over the years and his joints are now a little floppy but he still strikes a good pose as you can see!. He insists on travelling to his next adventure in his tatty old cardi although it does suit him rather well despite being dreadfully worn!. Pattison has amber and black plastic eyes and the typical Pedigree "dog nose" of this era. All is original apart from his pads which were neatly replaced in the 1960s. Pattison has an in-operative press squeaker in his tummy and he's 16 inches in height.
Big Old 1950s German Schuco Bear - Working Growler - SOLD Dating to circa 1950s, this big old handsome German Schuco bear (no label) is 21 inches in height. An extremely clean and well treasured bear with fabulous thick mohair coverage, glass eyes and complete original nose, mouth, claw stitching. Joints all nice and tight, he poses well, and has a fully working deep growler in his tummy!. No dirt, damage or odours.

1950s/60s British Chad Valley Teddy Bear - 19 inches - SOLD 1950s/60s vintage Chad Valley teddy bear retaining his (slightly grubby) Chad Valley label to side seam. 19 inches in height, he's fully jointed with amber/black plastic eyes, perfect nose/mouth stitching and original rexine pads. Light fur loss here and there and some wear to the rexine pads but overall a good clean vintage Chad Valley bear who poses well. No odours of any kind.
1950s German Hermann Teddy Bear - Working Growler! - SOLD Dating to circa 1950s, this very handsome German Hermann bear (no label) is 16 inches in height. A lovely clean and well treasured bear with overall good mohair coverage (a few worn areas), original glass eyes and complete original nose, mouth stitching. Claw stitching fully intact to three paws, missing to the left front. Joints all nice and tight, he's mostly straw stuffed so he's a lovely solid bear with fully working deep growler in his tummy!.
Antique German Bisque Armand Marseille Floradora Doll - SOLD Dating to circa 1910 this antique German Armand Marseille "Floradora" doll is 15 inches in height. A very pretty girl with blue sleep eyes (no lid wax), open mouth, all her teeth and original mohair wig swept up into an elegant "up do". She's on her original wood and composition fully jointed body in strong sturdy condition with paint wear to arms/hands and hand with bracelet is fixed with a few chips around wrist. All fingers and toes intact and Floradora's bisque head has no damage. The outfit was originally made for her when new, a little simple in it's needlework but still presents beautifully and compliments her colouring perfectly. Dress has delightful contrasting polka dot lining and she wears her original cotton undergarments, all in good clean condition. A very appealing harder to find AM doll marked "Floradora - Made in Germany A 2/0 M". RARE.. Antique German Armand Marseille Walking Mama Child Doll - SOLD Very special large antique German bisque head walking mama child doll by Armand Marseille dating to circa 1910. She's 23 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, all her hair lashes, open mouth, teeth and excellent golden blonde mohair wig. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or play damage, just fine firing line to corners of mouth from her manufacture. She's on her original wood and composition walking body with light play wear and surface dirt but overall good strong and sturdy. Her walking and mama mechanisms work perfectly with good head turning action and her cry for "Mama" remains very loud and clear!! (mechanisms were fitted into these dolls via a cut out into the back torso). Despite being fully jointed the Armand Marseille walking dolls were not designed to be seated. She was obviously a highly treasured doll and remarkable she's fully operational after all these years. Just as found in antique dress and woolen undergarments which do have some tattiness but she still displays well in them. She's marked "Armand Marseille 390 Germany A 6 1/2 M".
Antique German Ernst Heubach Character Toddler Boy Doll - SOLD This antique German Ernst Heubach character toddler doll is a very handsome little boy for display who dates to around 1926 and measures 12.5 inches in height. He has perfect blue sleep eyes, all his lashes, open mouth, teeth, tongue and original mohair wig. The bisque head is excellent, free from chips, cracks or hairlines. Very handsomely dressed in his original outfit of white cotton shirt with tiny mother of pearl buttons, silk lined shorts, leather belt and long brown socks. Shirt has light age marks otherwise all garments are lovely for age with super detail to them (socks even have quaint little elasticated sock suspenders!). The lace up shoes are later additions. He's on his outstanding original five piece composition toddler body, protected perfectly all these years by the original garments. Full factory paint/glaze and perfect little fingers and toes with defining red accents. He's marked "Heubach Koppelsdorf 342.6/0 - Made in Germany".
Large Antique German SUR Ernst Heubach Bisque Child Doll - SOLD Large antique German bisque head child doll made by Seyfarth & Reinhard for Ernst Heubach around the year 1910. An impressive 28 inches in height, she's a fabulous big girl for display with perfect brown sleep eyes, quite a few of the original lashes, open mouth, teeth (one a nice replacement) and antique wavy short mohair wig (excellent). She's on her original fully jointed body with some wearing to the finish and a couple of nicely done finger repairs with old overpaint to the hands. The bisque head has no damage, just old wig glue residue, small firing blemish to forehead and fine factory firing line above one eye (quite hard to spot with naked eye). Wearing a magnificent Edwardian cotton dress with beautiful Broderie Anglaise lace trims, white cotton full slip, waist slip, long knickers, woolen socks and more modern buckle shoes. She's marked "Heubach Koppelsdorf 312 SUR 6 ½ Germany".
Antique German Flirty Eyed Composition Character Baby Doll - SOLD Dating to the 1920s/30s this antique German composition character baby doll is 18 inches in height. A beautiful cheeky faced baby with brown flirty sleep eyes, open mouth with both her bottom teeth. Baby has some paint scuffs/grazes including graze to forehead and chin otherwise her complexion is very good. All her fingers and toes are intact but there's some old terracotta refill to the feet and head is fixed in position so no longer turns. This baby has been loved but who can blame them!!. This gorgeous chubby baby displays well in the most delightful antique outfit of dress and matching bonnet in fabulous clean condition for years. Baby is marked "265K/5 ".
Pedigree "Kiss Me Goodnight" Doll (1st Love Mould) - SOLD Adorable vintage "Kiss Me Goodnight" Pedigree doll from their Pedigree "First Love" baby mould. She comes complete with her original box and nightgown and would have at one time closed her eyes when kissed but this doesn't appear to be working. Baby is 17 inches in height, made from excellent hard vinyl with good colour, fully lashed blue eyes and full head of blonde rooted hair. She's the straight waist version of the First Love mould, all limb joints nice and tight, she poses well. No vinyl damage. These Pedigree baby dolls were unmarked. Box has some wear but still displays well.

Made from superb quality heavy rigid vinyl, she's 10.5 inches in height with blue open/close eyes (eyes a little sticky), hard plastic lashes and full head of rooted curls. Little Miss Vogue is just as found, pretty grubby after all these years. Outfit needs a good clean, especially girdle as there's staining and yellowing. Doll has no chews or ear green and retains her original pearl drop earrings. Box is sturdy but some discolouration and edgewear.

She has her original saran wig in a short bob style, light roses to cheeks and nice colour and shine to her plastic. 1950s Blonde Pedigree Hard Plastic Walker Doll - 16 inches - SOLD "Lindsay" is a 1950s Pedigree hard plastic walking doll, nicely dressed in vintage candy pink lace trimmed dress with integral knickers (IDEAL tagged). 16 inches in height with lovely original golden blonde curly saran wig, full lashes and bright clear eyes which flirt well but are fixed open so no longer sleep. Lindsay is a very clean doll with good colour and shine to her plastic, no odours of any kind. The leg walking action works well, head moves freely but doesn't turn much as she's walking and she has the usual non working mama. She's marked "Pedigree Made in England".
Early 1950s Pedigree Walker Hard Plastic Doll in Original Box - SOLD Dating to the early 1950s this Pedigree Delite hard plastic walking doll comes complete with her original box and dress. An extremely pretty girl, she's the early "floating head" walker with large palm seams and front grille mama (mama is non working). 20 inches in height, she has flirty/sleep eyes, all lashes, open mouth with tongue/teeth and short bright auburn mohair original wig. A very clean doll retaining excellent colour/shine to her plastic and her walking action is superb. As often found with these early Pedigree walkers, there's a fine stress hairline to centre back of neck (see photo), this has a teeny amount of filler and is totally secure. Her complexion is lovely, just a couple of faint facial lines (these are fine and easily missed). Her original factory dress is unlabeled which is typical of the early Pedigree clothing, Dress has old mend to top of bodice otherwise good, clean with working factory "doughnut" press studs. She also wears white nylon knickers, newer socks and Cinderella Debuntate shoes. Box is very good and sturdy for it's years it has preserved her well. It bears the correct factory label to end and has also the remains of delightful Christmas labels addressed to Cynthia who was the original owner.

RARE.. 1950s Pedigree Delite HP Baby Walker Doll - 16 inches - SOLD Dating to the early 1950s this beautiful hard plastic baby walker doll is a very seldom found 16 inch example from Pedigree's Delite series. She's a totally adorable flirty/sleep eyed walking baby with pouty closed mouth, all her lashes and good strong hand assisted walking action. A very clean baby with fabulous facial colouring, full roses to her cheeks and lovely shine to her plastic. The mamma grille was at some point replaced with an old wooden dome (mama non working), there's slight seam separation by one walker screw and a couple of fine lines to back. Baby has excellent hair paint and superb complexion, no odours of any kind. Wearing an immaculate knitted outfit along with long cotton vest, she's marked "Pedigree - Made in England".
Antique Danish JK Koge Celluloid Child Doll - 18 inches - SOLD Antique JK Koge Danish celluloid child doll, circa 1940s. A very pretty girl, 18 inches in height with lovely colour and shine to her celluloid, original painted features and deeply moulded curls. As usually found with many celluloid dolls the head seam is quite prominent from manufacture, no cracks, splits or dents of any kind. Minor ingrained dirt but mostly beautifully clean and shiny for her years. Her delightful outfit of gingham dress, lacey socks and Cinderella shoes are more modern but suit her perfectly. She has the "JK Koge" mark and "46" to back.
Ca 1914 Simon Halbig/Kammer & Reinhardt Character Baby Doll - SOLD Dating to ca 1914 this antique German 126 character baby doll by Simon & Halbig for Kammer & Reinhardt is 19 inches in height. A beautiful baby, just as found in what looks to be original outfit of cotton gown, cotton and wool undergarments, long lace trimmed cream cape and bonnet. She has flirty brown eyes which will also sleep when the mechanism bar inside the head is raised, she has some lashes remaining, original wig and open mouth with tongue/teeth. She's on her original composition body with some old overpaint to arms and torso top otherwise good sturdy condition for years. The wig was removed for first time for head inspection leaving old glue/wig residue to head and a few teeny pulls. No hairline damage to the bisque head, just minor rub to nose tip. Garments in fair condition for age but surface dirty and creased after all these years with old age markings to cape and the silk ribbons are shredded with age.
Ca 1920s Large Antique Celluloid Japanese Boy Doll - SOLD Dating to the 1920s this large antique Japanese celluloid baby doll is 22 inches in height. A very clean and handsome baby boy retaining lovely colour and shine to his celluloid, original painted features and deeply moulded curls. Tiny factory mould hole beneath one little finger (see photo 4) and light dent to one lower leg, he's in super condition for a celluloid doll of his great years. His delightful outfit of shorts, shirt and sunhat is more modern but suits him perfectly. He has the clover mark and "22 Japan" to back.

Elizabeth has some rubs to her blush and couple of fine lines to arms. Her eyes are stiff to sleep/flirt without manual assistance but nice and bright with all her lashes intact. A beautifully presented Elizabeth dressed in 1950s bow front dress, white broderie anglaise trimmed cotton slip, white cotton knickers, knitted socks and Cinderella shoes. Elizabeth is a very clean doll with no plastic cracks or odours of any kind. The Pedigree Elizabeth dolls had no markings.

Huge Antique German Composition Baby Doll - SOLD Dating to the late 1920's/early 1930s, this delightful larger size antique German composition baby doll is a huge 23 inches in height. She has perfect blue sleep eyes with all of her eyelashes intact, super colouring and open mouth with both her front teeth. The quality hard composition head is in very good condition, just a little rubbing around neck base. The original composition body is excellent retaining super original factory finish, just a little paint wear around joints and chip to one finger end. This big antique German baby is a lovely size for pram, chair or cot display!. Wearing good quality antique clothing of long gown, coat, hat and undergarments, all very good apart from a few small holes to gown. She's marked "61/2".
Large Antique French Papier Mache Doll - SFBJ/Jumeau?? - SOLD Wonderful rare find large antique French papier mache head doll, 22 inches in height with replaced fixed eyes, open mouth/teeth and what looks to be her original hair wig. She's on her original fully jointed body in very good, strong condition for years (fingers have a couple of simple old mends). The papier mache head has no chips or cracks just a few rubs to finish, wear to lip paint and old touch up to nose tip. Her old cotton chemise is quite simple in make but has some gorgeous delicate lace work to it, the full length cotton slip also came with her. Head is both incised and red stamped "7". A fabulous rare piece of French doll making history, my photos don't do her enough justice at all.
Antique German AM 341 "Squeaking" Dream Baby Doll - SOLD Dating to the mid 1920s this antique German Armand Marseille Dream Baby doll is 11 inches in height. A very sweet baby with pouty closed mouth and blue glass eyes which are too stiff to sleep. She's on her original "frog" cloth body with perfect celluloid hands and internal squeaking/mama device which still works loud and clear when she's tapped!. Beautiful bisque head with lovely defined features, no cracks, chips or hairlines, just minor light surface dirt as to be expected. Beautifully dressed in antique cotton and lace gown, knitted bonnet and jacket, she's a delightful little baby for display. Faintly incised "GERMANY AM" with "341 12".
Large Antique German Composition Baby Doll - 25 inches - SOLD Lovely big chunky 1930s antique German composition baby doll, 25 inches in height with blue sleep eyes (these are stiff to sleep), good colour and open mouth with both her bottom teeth. Head has no cracks or damage to the composition, just light paint scuffs, rubs to blush and paint wear to base of neck. Body is good, strong and sturdy with surface paintwear and minor chips to fingers tips. Shortly after original purchase the owner's heavy handed little brother apparently damaged the doll's arm. She was taken to Sheffield Doll's hospital (this closed down over 30 years ago!) where the arm was replaced. The replacement arm certainly isn't an exact match but part of this baby's history all the same. Wearing gorgeous full length cotton lace trimmed antique gown, full slip,wrap over vest, lace bonnet and more modern knickers, all garments in good clean condition. She's marked "265K".

Excellent coverage of mohair, just minor light dust, couple of marks to pads and he's lost his stud & label. He's straw stuffed, a good sturdy bear, joints all good and he poses well!. 1950s Old English Chad Valley Golden Mohair Teddy Bear - SOLD Dating to the 1950s this handsome golden mohair Chad Valley teddy bear is 15 inches in height. A super old character, fully jointed with original "coal" nose/mouth stitching amber/black glass eyes, rexine pads (with surface wear) and non working squeaker in his tummy. A good clean bear with some wear to his long shaggy mohair but still plenty left as you can see (small hole near neck joint). He has a nice old paper written label attached to ribbon at his neck which is nice to keep with him.

Lifesize 1950s Canadian Regal Doctor & Nurse Dolls These huge late 50s Regal Canada dolls are a fabulous vintage find with an interesting history as they were originally displayed in an old hospital children's ward. "Doctor" has a sewn in label to his shirt printed "Chase Farm Hospital Auckland" and his nurse has a real nurses "Civil Nursing Reserve" metal badge along with "Chase Farm Hospital Children's ward Staff Nurse" typed badge. Dolls are both marked "Regal Canada" on their backs. They're a HUGE life-size 31 inches in height with sleep eyes, all lashes and rooted hair (some fading to Nurse's hair). These were the outfits made for them to display in the hospital, very detailed including full undergarments, socks and shoes (couple of buttons missing from shoes). This wonderful pair are made from plastic and heavy quality rigid vinyl but sadly the brittle nature of the plastic has resulted in legs becoming cracked and damaged. This will be from the duration of time rather than play (care always needs to be taken when dressing/undressing dolls of this nature) although as you can see they have wonderful display potential just as they are!. 1920s Antique German Armand Marseille 518 Baby Doll - SOLD Dating to the mid 1920s, this lovely big antique German Armand Marseille 518 bisque head baby doll is 19 inches in height. A happy faced baby with sparkling big blue sleep eyes and open mouth with both her front teeth. There's small area of colour miss to upper cheek and forehead, faint hard to spot little firing blemish to brow but no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head. The original good quality composition bent limb baby body has chipping around top torso opening and chips to finger ends, crazing to hands otherwise good strong and sturdy, no repaint or restoration. 1950s British Hard Plastic Palitoy "Pin Up" Walker Doll - SOLD Dating to circa 1953 this British hard plastic Palitoy "Pin Up" walking doll (unmarked) is 15 inches in height. Blue sleep eyes, full lashes, original saran wig and good strong walking action. There's light fading to her chest and complexion a little pale but overall a lovely example, no odours of any kind. Please note.. these dolls were manufactured with both halves of their torso screwed together rather than sealed as one so there's always small gaps between the seams (no detriment at all). Dress quite simple in make but displays nicely, shoes slightly too big.

1950's Vintage Hard Plastic Roddy Bride Doll in Original Box - SOLD Dating to the 1950s this beautiful vintage Roddy doll comes complete with her original box and bridal outfit. 16 inches in height, she's a hard plastic walker doll with the "hidden" walking mechanism which works perfectly. Blue sleep eyes (these are stiff to sleep), all lashes and original coiled dark auburn mohair wig. A very pretty bride with lovely fresh colour and shine to her plastic (just one hard to spot teeny rub to blush), no damage, fading or odours of any kind. The stunning bridal gown is lovely for years with working factory press studs. She also wears her "Roddy" stamped shoes, white cotton socks, knickers and a bouquet of flowers tied to her wrist with pretty pink ribbon. 1920s Antique German AM "My Dream Baby" Mama Doll - SOLD Dating to the mid 1920s, this antique German Armand Marseille Dream mama Baby doll is 16 inches in height. A very pretty baby with blue glass eyes (these no longer sleep), superb colour and open mouth with both her bottom teeth. The bisque head has some ingrained dirt along the head seam (from the factory) but no chips, cracks or hairlines. The original composition bent limb baby body has areas of paint wear/rubbing and dirt otherwise good sturdy condition and her mama still works loud and clear!. Just as found in her cuddly old knitted outfit of dress, cardi, vest and knickers, all a little dusty with age but no damage or odours of any kind. She's marked "AM Germany 351/ 3 1/2K".
Large Antique Black Armand Marseille Dream Baby Doll - SOLD Dating to the mid 1920s, this larger sized antique black Armand Marseille Dream Baby doll is 18 inches in height. An adorable baby with good colour, deep brown sleep eyes (some loss to lid waxing), open mouth and both bottom teeth. No chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head. The hair paint has some paint scuffing to the back. She's on her original composition baby body, overall good, strong and sturdy with light paint wear and a few finger and toe ends are chipped. Antique Black Heinrich Handwerck Boy Doll - Moulded Curls - SOLD The antique German Heinrich Handwerck black dolls rarely come up for sale so I was thrilled to find this handsome little boy!. He dates to the 1930s, 14 inches in height with deep brown glass sleep eyes (paint loss to the glass eyelids), fabulous tightly moulded curls and pouty closed mouth. No hairline damage, chips or cracks to the hard composition head. His complexion and hair paint are excellent, just minor light paint rubs to forehead. Old touched up areas to a couple of chipped finger ends also around the body openings, minor paint craze to body with some paint lifting to the arms. A wonderful rarer antique German black boy who displays very handsomely in the old knitted coat and short trouser suit he arrived in (couple of holes below waistband of shorts). He's marked "HW 2 1/2".
1960s Pedigree Weekenders Sindy Doll in Original Box - SOLD 1960s blonde Weekenders Sindy doll in original box. Sindy has nice colouring, no chews, trims or missing plugs and all joints nice and tight. Lightly dusty after all these years and there's a black pin prick under fringe (see photo). Outfit in nice played with condition, press stud replaced to jeans (no shoes). Marked "Made in England" to neck. Box in very poor condition.. squashed flat and battered, end flap missing. Original owner's name written to front in pencil.
Large British Hard Plastic Roddy Walker Doll - 21 inches - SOLD Dating to the late 1940s/early 1950s this lovely big chunky hard plastic Roddy walker doll is 21 inches in height. Good clean shiny plastic, pouty closed mouth, full lashes and slightly untidy mohair wig. Her complexion is a little pale with couple of faint facial lines. Her eyes no longer sleep and there's slight yellowing to the whites. Her walking action is excellent and she sits and stands smoothly. As usually found with these early Roddy walker dolls the crotch seam has separated but this is stable and doesn't hinder any movement at all. Wearing a delightful gingham dress along with knickers and white plastic shoes. She's marked "Roddy - 21 - Made in England".

She's 9 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, all her lashes and nice moulded curls. Baby has a few play scuffs/scratches to limbs and face and as usual with these babies the eyes don't fully sleep but overall a good clean baby with no cracks or odours. She's marked "BND - England".
1950s "Mandy Lou" Black Pedigree Walker HP Doll - 22 inches - SOLD Mandy Lou is a 22 inch early 1950s black Pedigree walking hard plastic doll with flirty sleep eyes, all lashes, astrakhan wig and pouty closed mouth. She has a lovely strong walking action and sits and stands smoothly. Mandy Lou's rear end is quite scuffed otherwise she's a wonderful clean example with just light play and usual non working mama. Her wig is excellent, much nicer in fact than my photos show. The astrakhan is good, clean and thick with just light fade around the edges (this is far less noticeable in real life). Beautifully dressed in professionally made outfit of colourful kangaroo print dress, matching waistcoat, canary yellow socks, white cotton knickers and strappy sandals, all in mint condition. 1940s/50s Flirty Eyed Australian Hard Plastic Verna Doll - SOLD Rare find 18 inch Australian Verna hard plastic doll dating from 1948 - 1950s. A stunning flirty eyed hard plastic doll, immaculately clean with beautiful colour, fabulous clear complexion and excellent quality replacement braided wig. The original factory stringing has worn a tiny bit loose over the years but still safe and she poses well as you can see. She has a non working mama in her back and paint rubbing to backs of legs and around neck. No odours of any kind. Her outfit was beautifully custom made for her to replicate the original shown here in an Australian Doll book. Fabulous detail and quality to the outfit, mint condition.She's a true delight for display and a wonderful piece of Australian doll making history, so extremely rare to find here in the UK. 1950s BND "Dolly Walker" Hard Plastic Doll in Original Outfit - SOLD 1950s BND "Dollie Walker" hard plastic doll complete with original outfit of dress, white cotton knickers, socks and Cinderella shoes. 21 inches in height with clear blue sleep eyes, open/closed mouth with tongue (these dolls didn't have teeth) all lashes intact and original braided wig. Her colouring and complexion are fabulous and her walking action works well. The BND factory often used slightly darker filler for the seams (her's most noted around the hand seams), this is quite normal. "Dollie" is a superb example, no damage, odours or restoration, just the usual non working mama and her wig is dusty. Outfit also in excellent condition for years, just couple of holes to socks.She's marked "BND LONDON".

1950s Black Pedigree Delite "Boko" Baby Doll - SOLD "Boko" is a 1950s Pedigree Delite hard plastic baby doll wearing a delightful 50s dress with stars and white cotton knickers. A very sweet baby, 10 inches in height with nice chocolate brown colouring, side glancing sleep eyes and lovely complexion (any marks you can see are just flash reflection). Minor light play scuffs otherwise super condition for her years with good shine and colour retained, no cracks or odours of any kind. Old English Chad Valley 1950s Bear - 11 inches - SOLD Totally adorable little Chad Valley teddy bear dating to the 1950s. He's 11 inches in height, fully jointed and all original with the 50s style lock in plastic eyes (fade to one pupil), excellent nose/mouth stitching and rexine pads (a couple of which have holed). A lovely clean bear with some areas of wear to mohair but overall good coverage for years (most wear being around muzzle). Joints a tad floppy but he can still strike a nice pose. He wears a sweet vintage knitted waistcoat which suits him well. He's lost his label over the years, there's a non working squeaker in his tummy.

RARE.. 1950s Farnell "Listen with Mother" Toffee Bear - SOLD Very hard to find 1950's Farnell "Toffee bear" based on the character from the 1950's BBC children's radio series "Listen With Mother". Toffee is 10 inches in height with original amber and black glass eyes, excellent nose/mouth stitching and wears a sweet knitted hat and scarf set. Some wear to his mohair as you can see and his pads have been nicely replaced over the years but overall a super character in lovely condition for years. Toffee is very clean, no stains or odours of any kind.

RARE.. 1950s Pedigree Asian Dusky Hard Plastic Walker Doll - SOLD Pedigree's seldom found hard plastic Asian Pedigree Dusky walker doll dating to the mid 1950s. 16 inches in height with flirty sleep eyes, all lashes (lashes a little untidy), open mouth, both teeth, tongue and good colour retaining nice roses to cheeks. Wig is mohair, looks to be home made and is a bit untidy but still displays quite well as you can see. She has a head wobble as she walks but walking action works well. There's playscuffing to plastic including light scuffs to cheeks/blush area and fine line next to torso seam, possibly a closed hairline but completely stable if so. Usual non working mama and a fine lines to backs of hands. Just as found in her home made crimpolene dress, a little short but there's plenty of hem to let down if required. 1950s Rita Walker Hard Plastic Doll - (long ringlets) - SOLD An absolutely immaculate largest size 1950s American hard plastic Rita Paris walking doll, 28 inches in height with sleep eyes, all lashes, open mouth, tongue/teeth and the most beautiful quality soft ringlet replacement wig. She's an outstanding big girl for display, I don't think her photos do her enough justice at all, spotlessly clean with beautiful colour and shine, no dirt, playscuffs or odours whatsoever. Little creases such as knees, tummy button, elbows etc have been freshened up with a little added blush for that "like new" glow. Rita is a walker doll with good leg walking action, head moves freely but this isn't a head turning walker. She will sit and stand smoothly. Dating to the early 1950s this black British Palitoy (Cascelloid Ltd) doll is 19 inches in height. A very hard to find doll with bright amber sleep eyes, all lashes, lovely astrakhan wig, pierced ears and HUGE original brass earrings!!. Palitoy manufactured these dolls with super quality hard plastic heads and "Plastex" bodies. "Plastex" was their unique form of " unbreakable" composition, a material mixed with glue to give it more elasticity and durability. She's a good clean well treasured doll who's only just left her original owner and comes just as found in her slightly playworn dress and knickers set along with socks and moccasin shoes. Lovely condition for her years just light expected playscuffs, some paint loss to backs of legs and usual non working mama. Palitoy Cascelloid pat no. is marked to neck "535811 - Made in England".

Large 1940s British Hard Plastic Roddy Baby Doll - Mama works! - SOLD Lovely big chunky late 1940s British hard plastic Roddy baby doll, 21 inches in height with bright blue sleep eyes, full lashes and pouty closed mouth. This baby was clearly well treasured, she's a lovely clean example and her cry for mama still works loud and clear!. Beautiful shiny plastic with good colour and nice little roses to cheeks!. These early hard plastic Roddy dolls are usually found with scuffing to the hair paint but this baby's hair is superb. Complexion also excellent with just a faint hint of facial line to forehead which is easily missed. Just as found in lovely old satin and lace dress, cuddly knitted cardi, knickers and bootees, all in nice clean condition for years, just couple of old holes to bootees and dress a little open to back. 1960s Tressy Sister Toots Vintage Doll in "Sugar & Spice" - SOLD Hard to find 1960s Tressy sister Toots doll wearing original Toots "Sugar & Spice" dress. Toots has lovely face paint, good complexion and soft full hair extended right down to thigh length (no key). A good clean doll, no chews or marks, all joints nice and tight, knees and ankles still pose too. Hair was braided so is quite frizzy but should re-style just fine. Dress lightly dusty from storage, one of the puff sleeves has come away from seam requiring a few securing stitches, top half press stud missing.
