1930s Antique
British Jayco Black Baby Doll - SOLD
    Dating to the
1930s this antique British Jayco baby doll is 14 inches in height. She's a very
pretty baby, made from excellent quality ceramic type composition with lovely
colouring and original painted features. Overall very nice condition for her
years, light paint scuffs here and there, small touch up to top of one arm and
back of neck and rub to nose tip. No paint crazing at all, all fingers and toes
are intact. Her dress has seen better days, needs re-hemming and new button at
the back but still displays nicely on her. She's marked "Jayco - Made in
England - 14".
Early English Antique Wax Little Girl Child Doll - £235.00
     Wonderful 12 inch antique English wax doll, a really beautiful
little girl with the most enchanting glass eyes, solemn closed mouth and old replacement mohair wig. She's a poured wax over plaster doll, also known as "reinforced wax" which date between 1870 - 1890. The wax is delicately flesh tinted with a little colour fade around the chin
area and brows are smudged. Face and back of head free from cracks etc. but as you can see there's a cotton patch nicely sewn to top of torso.. underneath this I can feel shoulders are damaged/incomplete. This is completely covered by the patch so not visible from exterior of doll and she displays well. The original cloth body and wax lower limbs are all in excellent order, beautifully preserved by her many layers of clothing. All fingers and toes perfectly intact. The multi
layered cotton and lace clothing include slips, jacket, "corset" and 2
little lacey hankies, all garments in excellent clean condition for their years.

German Armand Marseille My Dream Baby Doll - £195.00
    Dating to the mid 1920s, this gorgeous antique German Armand Marseille Dream Baby doll is the more sought after example on AM's best quality chunky composition body with chubby limbs and clenched fists. She's 12 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, all lid wax retained and open mouth with both her bottom teeth. The bisque head is beautiful, no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a little ingrained dirt to back nape. The original heavy composition bent limb body is in excellent sturdy condition for years retaining it's original finish,
I can't fault it apart from a stable paint crack to top torso and a light craze
to one heel. All fingers and toes intact. This chubby antique German baby is a
wonderful example and a delight for display. Wearing a lovely antique taffeta
and lace trimmed slip dress with mother of pearl buttons along with cotton
handkerchief nappy. She's marked "AM Germany 351/3K".

     Dating to the late 1920s, this lovely big chunky antique German Armand Marseille Dream Baby doll is an impressive 24 inches in height. The bisque head is beautifully moulded, no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a little ingrained dirt to hair. Baby has big blue fixed eyes and open mouth (no teeth). She's on her original heavy composition body in superb condition for years retaining it's original deep beige finish with only very minor wear. All fingers and toes intact.      Dating to around 1910 this antique German Armand Marseille bisque doll is 16 inches in height. A pretty girl with blue sleep eyes, hair lashes, open mouth, all her teeth
and original hair wig. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a little kiln dust speckling from manufacture and
minor colour rub to cheek and nose tip. She's on her original wood and composition fully jointed body which does show wear to the finish, mostly to feet where the composition is especially worn
with surface loss to sides and soles (please ask for photos if required). She's also missing
top half of one finger end. Very nicely dressed in matching gown and bonnet with woolen wrap over slip, all garments in lovely clean condition. She's marked "Armand Marseille Germany 390n".

1860 Early English Antique Poured Wax Boy Doll

    Wonderful rare find all original antique English poured wax doll dating right back to the 1860s. He's 13 inches in height with exquisite detail to the poured wax shoulder head, stunning glass eyes and completely original fine hair inserts (all intact). The wax is in excellent condition for it's many years, I can find no damage. The original cloth body and
wax lower limbs are all in excellent order, all fingers and toes intact. Wearing his original gown and undergarments with a little ageing to fabric as to be expected but still present beautifully on him. These early English poured wax dolls don't come up for sale very often, he's a fabulous piece of early doll making history and obviously been well treasured to have remained in such lovely condition today.

1900 Antique German Simon & Halbig 1248 Child Doll - £225.00
   Dating
to ca 1900 this beautiful antique bisque head Simon & Halbig child doll is
18 inches in height. She has brown glass eyes, open mouth, all her teeth,
pierced ears (couple of teeny flakes around piercings) and lovely original hair
wig (firmly glued). The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a
light peppering of kiln dust to nose/beneath eyes from the factory. One outer
eye white has a hairline flaw within the glass which extends into the iris but
no damage to the surrounding bisque so I say this is possibly also from her
making. She's on her original fully jointed wood and composition body in
excellent condition for years, mainly just expected light paint wear to arms and a couple of nicely done old finger repairs. Wearing her original cotton
gown with stunning lace and pintuck detail. There's a hole to gown's top front
bodice and it's lightly dusty with age but displays beautifully on her just as
it is!. She's marked "1248 Simon & Halbig Germany S&H 6 1/2".

    Wonderful example of a 1920s antique French SNF celluloid baby doll, 10 inches in height with blue glass eyes, original lashes and perfect moulded curls. Antique celluloid dolls are rarely found in good condition due to their fragile nature but this baby has fared the years beautifully, I doubt she was ever played with. Wearing the very sweet layette originally knitted for her of dress, bonnet, slip, knickers, vest and bootees. Outfit is lightly dusty with hole to bonnet but still displays perfectly on her. Marked "SNF France DEP (diamond) mold 27 3". A gorgeous little antique French baby doll,

Life Size Antique German Schoenau & Hoffmeister Bisque Child Doll -

      Dating to the early 1920s this wonderful life size antique German Schoenau & Hoffmeister child doll is a magnificent 29 inches in height. She has perfect blue sleep eyes, open mouth, all her teeth and antique dark blonde straight wig. The bisque head has a
small factory "beauty spot" to left lower cheek (firing freckle) and factory
separation to
back rim lip with criss cross hairline running down from it but no actual play damage apart from a few wig pulls above right ear area. The original chunky wood and composition ball jointed body is overall good, strong and sturdy. A few surface chips/hairlines to feet and some roughness to finish at her rear area (possibly an old repaint to torso but may well be original finish). All fingers and toes are intact. She's a fabulous big girl who presents beautifully in antique Victorian clothing of elaborate broderie anglaise dress, full undergarments and straw flower trimmed bonnet. All garments in good clean condition for years. She's marked "SPBH 91412 1/2".

the year 1910 this wonderful example of the Armand Marseille 390 doll is an impressive 26 inches in height. This fabulous big girl has perfect brown sleep eyes, all her thick hair lashes, open
mouth, all her teeth and she retains her original short style hair wig. The bisque head has wonderful moulding and colour to it, no chips, cracks or hairlines,
just 2 teeny minor factory rubs to cheeks which are hard to spot. The original wood and composition ball jointed body is
in outstanding condition for it's years, excellent original finish retained, all fingers and toes intact. She's presents beautifully,
dressed in antique style silk/taffeta and lace dress, jacket and beret outfit

Antique German Bisque Intaglio Character Boy Doll -

    Dating to around 1910, this antique German "Baby Stuart" type character boy doll is 15 inches in height. He has wonderful detailed features, intaglio eyes and closed mouth. He's on his original fully jointed "broomstick leg" body in excellent condition for years, all fingers and toes intact (minor chip to one toe and thumb). The bisque head has a little ingrained dirt and couple of fine firing scratches from the factory (below one cheek and beside neck mould line) but no chips, cracks or hairlines. The mould number mark is very faint and tiny within the hair, looks to read 142. The antique cream wool gown looks to be his original, there's also a knitted "onesie" which is quite tatty.

Antique Armand Marseille Walking/Mama Child Doll - £350.00 (RESERVED)
     Very special large antique German bisque head walking mama child doll by Armand Marseille dating to around 1910. She's 24 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, most of her hair eyelashes and original soft mohair ringlet wig. The superb bisque head has incredible detail to the moulding, open mouth, tongue, perfect row of original pearly teeth. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head. She's on her original straight leg composition walking body in excellent condition with it's original finish retained. All her fingers and toes are intact. The mechanisms were fitted into these dolls via the back of the torso. There are no cracks or damage to body. The walking and mama mechanisms work perfectly with good head turning action and her cry for "Mama" is still loud and clear!!. It's remarkable that she's fully working after all these years, she was obviously a highly treasured doll. Just as found in her pleated skirt, woolen wrap vest, coat and bonnet with silver lace up shoes (no soles to shoes). Outfit does have a number of holes, not surprising after a hundred years but it does still display nicely on her. She's marked "Armand Marseille 390n Germany".

chips cracks or hairlines. She's on her original composition baby body in
excellent condition for years, all fingers and toes intact. Outfit is good and
clean for years, has a few holes amongst skirt but still displays beautifully on
her. She's marked "AM Germany 341/4/0K".

Some scuffing to hair paint but no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head. Just as found in her stunning complete outfit of full length lace trimmed cape, elaborate matching bonnet, cotton gown and

    Dating to ca 1890s this antique bisque AM 3200
shoulder head child doll is 12 inches in height. She's an exceptionally pretty little girl with dark brown glass eyes, open mouth, all teeth and original hair wig. She's on her original cloth body with composition lower
arms (all fingers perfectly intact). The bisque shoulder head is beautiful, no chips, cracks or hairlines, wig just a little squashed down and untidy from the bonnet.
The gown and full cotton and lace undergarments are now quite tatty but original
to doll, bonnet in good condition apart from losing some of it's ostrich feather
trim. She's marked "3200 AM8/0 DEP Germany".
Antique German CM Bergmann Child Doll
in School Uniform - £195.00
    A very pretty antique German child doll by CM Bergmann beautifully
dressed all ready for school!.. Dating to ca 1916, she's 21 inches in height with blue sleep eyes,
original silk lashes, short human hair wig and open mouth with perfect row of bisque teeth. She's on her original harder to find straight leg jointed wood and composition body which has an old repaint (couple of craze lines within the paint) and loss of one thumb. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, just two minor factory pin pricks to chin and couple of tiny kiln dust speckles. The
lovely old outfit includes pinafore, blouse with ribbon tie and brass tie bar pin, knitted undergarments and cream lace up shoes (shoes more modern). All garments in super condition for years, blouse just needs new fasteners at cuffs (currently pinned). She's marked with her mould no. "1916" to rim and "Germany B5" to neck.

Ernst Heubach Bisque Character Toddler Boy Doll -

    This antique German Ernst Heubach character toddler doll is a very handsome little boy for display who dates to around 1926 and measures 12.5 inches in height. He has perfect blue sleep eyes, all his lashes, open mouth, teeth, tongue and original mohair wig. The bisque head is excellent, free from chips, cracks or hairlines. Very handsomely dressed in his original outfit of white cotton shirt with tiny mother of pearl buttons,
silk lined shorts, leather belt and long brown socks. Shirt has light age marks
otherwise all garments are lovely for age with super detail to them (socks even have quaint little elasticated sock suspenders!).
The lace up shoes are later additions. He's on his outstanding original five piece composition toddler body, protected perfectly all these years by the original garments.
Full factory paint/glaze and perfect little fingers and toes with defining red accents. He's marked "Heubach Koppelsdorf 342.6/0 - Made in Germany".

All Original Early English Antique Wax Doll - Huge Size! -

   This early English antique wax-over composition doll is a super museum quality piece and wonderful large size of 31 inches in height. These wax dolls were known as "slit heads" due to hair being inserted into centre parting so we can reliably date her to at least 1860 (English slit head dolls were manufactured between the years 1800 - 1860). The face has nice moulding, deep blue glass eyes and lovely expression with faint hint of a smile. The thick wax of the shoulder head is excellent, only a couple of light surface
cracks (a far contrast from the "crazy faces" often associated with some thinner layered
wax-overs). Face has some age dirt as to be expected from a wax doll of her great age, she's completely all original with no repairs or restoration of any kind. She's on her original solid sawdust stuffed cloth body with the brown kid leather arms, Fabulous all original outfit complete with glass beadwork, bustle at the back, lots of fine lace trimmings and multi layered undergarments. A lovely rare find and fascinating part of English doll history. More photos available upon request.

The bisque head is superb, no chips, cracks or hairlines, as to be expected just a couple of extremely minor tiny paint flakes and old paint touch up around base of neck due to paint wear from torso top socket rubbing

    Dating to the 1930s this very sweet AM German composition head baby doll is a nice cuddly size of 18 inches in height. She has blue sleep eyes with most of the original hair lashes, open mouth, 2 front teeth and
tremble tongue. She's on her original chubby cloth body with non working mama inside her tummy. The hard composition head has lovely rosy colouring and nice complexion, just a craze line to nose and small dink to one cheek. The cloth body is surface grubby, mainly to limbs otherwise good sturdy condition, no odours of any kind. The original dress would benefit a careful clean but is still very pretty on her. She's marked "AM Germany" to neck.

She's 22 inches in height with brown sleep eyes, all her lashes, open mouth, teeth and original hair wig. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines. The original wood and composition ball jointed body is in super condition for age, just lightly grubby and firing flaw crack to
back of one hand. All fingers and toes are intact. The mama mechanisms for these dolls were fitted via a cut out in the tummy with small circular grille to doll's back for speaker, it was a lovely surprise to find she still
"mamas" after all these years!. She displays beautifully in vintage
flower print cotton dress along with her original shoes and dusty factory chemise. She's marked "Armand Marseille Germany 390 A 5 M".

for years, all fingers and toes intact. A delight for display in antique
Victorian clothing of elaborate cotton lace dress and simple cotton slip along

antique German character baby doll by Recknagel dating to around 1920. She has
blue sleep eyes which are quite deeply set (from factory). Almost all lid wax is
intact and she retains all her hair lashes. Her open mouth has both it's teeth
and she wears her original wig which is very sparse so she would benefit a
replacement. The bisque head is free from chips, cracks or hairlines. The bent
limb composition body is surface grubby but good sturdy condition, just a few
light paint scuffs and two chipped finger ends. Nicely dressed in antique lace
trimmed cotton dress, slip and bonnet, all in good clean condition for their
years. She's marked "121 R.3.A. Germany".

    A nice early antique German Cuno & Otto
Dressel shoulder head doll dating to the 1890s. She's 19 inches in height with stunning blue glass eyes (original factory set), open mouth, all her teeth and original human hair wig with
beautiful long length extending just past her finger tips!. She's on her original kid leather and cloth body,
long legs with the typical of this era "stumpy" feet, and lower bisque arms. The kid leather is lightly grubby with a couple of old darns to the cloth behind the knees but overall good and
sturdy. The bisque head has a teeny minor little colour rub to nose tip but I
can find no chips, cracks or hairline damage. The original outfit includes heavy cotton lilac dress, lace pinafore, lace trimmed slip and tatty long knickers, all in good condition considering their age. She's incised Germany with the Cuno & Otto Dressel winged helmet mark.

mohair wig. The bisque head is superbly moulded, no cracks chips or hairlines. She's on her original high quality bent limb composition baby body, overall outstanding for years, all fingers and toes intact (small paint chip to one thumb tip). Her adorable fine lace gown has
light dust and couple of minor tears to the dainty upper lace layer otherwise lovely for age. She also wears her old silky wool nightgown underneath and white cotton knickers. She's marked "K*R - Simon & Halbig 126 8 Germany".

to the 1930s this flirty eyed Effanbee baby doll is a huge rare size
of 25 inches in height. She has flirty sleep eyes with all of her lashes,
original caracul wig, chubby cheeks and pouty closed mouth. She's on her
original cloth body with it's composition lower limbs and non working mama
inside tummy. Usual light facial crazing but deeper crazing to limbs and a
little composition wear to one heel. The heavy weight cloth body is good and sturdy
with a few old mends and some wear around the joints. Wearing the nice
old outfit she arrived in she's marked "Effanbee" on her neck.

    Dating to the 1920s this antique mulatto
composition head baby doll is 11 inches in height. He's a cheeky faced little boy with wonderful painted features, side glancing eyes, closed mouth and deeply moulded hair. He's on his original straw stuffed cloth body, swivel jointed with composition lower arms (fingers rubbed but intact). Light crazing to complexion and rub to his nose but overall a wonderful early composition little boy with great character, no repaint or restoration. The knitted outfit is circa 1950s but suits him well.

lovely all original condition and a wonderful big chunky size of 24 inches in height. She wears her original hair wig which is fabulous clean and full. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, just two tiny
little rubs to nose tip from manufacture. All Original JD Kestner Jr Antique German Doll -

    Dating to ca 1900 this adorable little JD Kestner Jr antique bisque doll is a very special all original find and perfect cabinet size of just 7 inches. She has the most wonderful innocent expression (no chips cracks or hairlines to bisque head), deep brown sleep glass eyes and open mouth with all her teeth. The fabulous long mohair wig has kept it's "sausage" ringlets nicely, just a tad tangled as you would expect. She's a true delight for display in original outfit complete with tiered silk gown,
exquisite cobweb lace detailing, dainty straw bonnet, undergarments and necklace with the tiniest pearls I've ever seen!. Outfit has preserved her straight leg jointed composition body nicely, all fingers intact.
The delicate nature of the fine silk has given rise to some shredding/wear but she was obviously a very well treasured little girl who has otherwise fared beautifully for over 100 years old. She's marked "133 - Made in Germany".
Antique German Bisque Kaiser

    Dating to around 1910, this wonderful antique German Kaiser
type baby doll is a harder to find cabinet size of just 9 inches in height. He has wonderful deeply moulded features, open/close mouth and finely detailed brush stroke hair. He's on his original bent limb baby body in excellent sturdy condition for years with just what looks to be a chip to one foot but has the original paint so it's actually a factory mould flaw. No damage or restoration, all fingers and toes intact. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head which is marked "B 4/0 Germany". The old blue gown displays well on him despite being a tad
playworn.
Ca 1870's Antique German Parian Lady Shoulder Head Doll -

early antique 15" German Parian doll is in superb condition for her years, dating to around 1870. She has an exquisite fine bisque shoulderhead with fabulous detail, moulded waved hair, blue hair band, pierced ears and original painted features.
The bisque is excellent with no damage, just a minor maker's flake to one ear piercing.
She's on her original sawdust stuffed cloth body, wide hips, nicely nipped in at waist, all superb for years, just a small old cotton patch to one knee.
The original lower parian limbs are also excellent complete with moulded heeled black boots (just minor little scuffs to boots).
Wearing her original hand worked lace trimmed cotton and undergarments, she's impressed "14".

Ca 1910 Large Antique French SFBJ Bisque Child Doll

    Wonderful
antique French bisque doll by SFBJ Paris dating to around 1910. She's 23 inches
in height with blue glass eyes in their original factory set, lovely full human
hair braided wig (original) and open mouth with perfect row of bisque teeth.
She's on her original fully jointed wood and composition body still retaining
it's factory stringing which has slackened just a teeny bit over the years but
perfectly strong and stable. Body has been overpainted over the years and
there's been some restoration to the toes. All fingers are intact. The stunning
bisque head has a factory firing flaw line which extends just under an inch from
neck rim (this is from her manufacture and perfectly stable). There are no
imperfections/damages to the bisque apart from this factory flaw. She's a
delight for display in her exquisite outfit of fine silk lace trimmed gown,
finely silky knitted bonnet and original multi layer undergarments with lots of
lace and tiny mother of pearl buttons (some very pretty hand embroidery to the
little short sleeved camisole with contrasting ribbon trims to the lace trimmed
knickers). All garments are in lovely clean condition for years, no moth or
stains (shoes are more modern). She's very faintly incised with the SFBJ circle
mark to neck with illegible faint lettering near head rim (lots more photos
available on request).

Antique German J.D. Kestner Doll (with rare fur eyebrows) - SOLD
   Dating
to around 1910 this absolutely stunning large antique JDK Kestner child doll has
the rare fur eyebrow inserts. She's 24" in height with blue sleep eyes (all
lid wax and eyelashes intact), open mouth, perfect teeth/tongue and long ringlet
human hair wig which looks to be original. The bisque head is beautifully
moulded and superb condition, free from any damage. The fur was inserted into
bisque cut outs at the Kestner factory, these are sometimes found to be a little
roughly cut but the only flaw I can find is a tiny stress line beneath one inner
edge. She's on her original ball jointed wood and composition body retaining
good factory finish, all fingers and toes intact. The sleep eyes will have been
reset at some point as there's additional eye plaster inside the head otherwise
no repaint or restoration at all. Beautifully dressed in lace trimmed rough silk
antique style outfit, leather shoes and antique undergarments, all garments
being immaculate. Overall a stunning example of this hard to find mould in
fabulous condition for her years. Marked "JDK 215 Germany" (more

  Adorable 15" antique German character baby doll by Schutzmeister & Quendt dating to around 1920. She has blue sleep eyes (all lid wax intact), open mouth, teeth, tongue and original hair wig (slightly tatty) The bisque head is free from chips, cracks or hairlines. The bent limb composition body (back stamped WP) is in excellent condition for it's years, all fingers and toes intact, just one thigh a teeny bit un-snug in it's socket (all limbs original to body). She a delight for display in her exquisite dainty Victorian silk/lace bonnet, lace trimmed antique gown and slip. All garments are in excellent, clean condition. She's marked with the intertwined S&Q mark and "201 Germany 6".

  Very special example of an all original 14" antique
English bisque shoulder head doll by Hewitt & Leadbeater Willow Potteries (Ca 1915). She's in beautiful clean condition with perfect bisque shoulder head, cloth body and original long slender pottery limbs (all fingers and toes intact). The original outfit includes exquisite embroidered cotton and lace gown, heavily lace trimmed cape, fancy lace trimmed embroidered wool and cotton bonnet with fine silk embroidered bonnet underneath. Underneath she wears multiple layers of cotton and wool undergarments and stockings. It's difficult to appreciate the superb intricate detail
of the outfit in the photos, it's truly spectacular. Sadly the shoes are missing otherwise all garments complete and immaculate. She's marked
"H & L Willow 3 England".
Large Antique
French Tete Jumeau Bebe Doll - SOLD
   Fabulous
rare find large antique French Tete Jumeau Bebe doll, dating to 1885 -1899.
She's a very impressive large size of 27 inches in height with beautiful big bulbous glass eyes, closed mouth and pierced ears. She's on her original
fully jointed chunky body in very good strong condition for it's years (no back stamp).
The finger tips are rubbed but all her chubby fingers and toes are perfectly
intact. The bisque head is stunning but does have it's flaws.. she's hairlined twice from the forehead rim, one short, the other continuing downwards to side of nose where it
shows the most prominently. From here it then curves almost invisibly below the same cheek towards side seam of head. There is also a
couple of old minor chips to the eye cut out rims and short curved firing lines to one side
and underneath chin (this is factory flaw as the colour was fired in). The long wig is now quite thin and wispy so has been swept
up into a clasp at the back. The thick cork pate is firmly glued to the rim.
Beautifully dressed in Victorian cotton/lace dress, layered cotton undergarments, stockings and kid leather shoes along with her later additions of fur hat/muff set, earrings and costume brooch.
She bears the red stamp mark "DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU BTE SGDG 12 W9" to neck.

mulatto doll dating to the 1890's. She has deep brown fixed eyes in their original factory set, open mouth, all her
bisque teeth and original short style mohair wig. She's on her original fully jointed wood/composition body with the
original factory stringing (stringing safe and sturdy but worn a little slack at
the arms). The body is in excellent condition for it's years, original factory
finish, perfect fingers and toes. The beautifully moulded bisque head is a
stunning early mulatto tone with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Wearing her
original outfit, kid leather shoes and abundance of glass beads, she's marked "1894 AM
2/0 DEP".
Ca 1890's Large Antique Lucy Peck Poured Wax Doll

   This very special 22"
antique English poured wax Lucy Peck doll dates to around 1890 and has the rarer sleeping eye mechanism!.
The eyes are opened and closed by moving a wire lever mechanism from her tummy (some lid wax loss on closed eyes).
She's a truly stunning antique doll with poured wax shoulder head, turned to the right. Wax is in excellent condition for it's years, just a few minor scuffs and
light surface lineage to back of shoulder plate. She retains fabulous all original colour,
no fading or patchiness. The hair wig is a possible old replacement as there's fine hair inserts underneath.
She's on her original "Luck Peck" stamped body with chubby wax lower limbs, all excellent condition for it's years apart from chip to toes on left foot.
Wearing her exquisite original lace gown and 3 layers of cotton undergarments, all in excellent condition for their years.
She has been kept under a glass dome for most of her life which has preserved her beautifully.

11" antique German AM baby doll, an adorable hard to find Oriental doll with brown sleep eyes and lovely pouty closed mouth.
He's on his original oriental tone composition baby body, in excellent condition with just a chip to one thumb and 2 chips to the composition at top of torso.
There's no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head which is marked "AM ELLAR (in a star) "Germany 2K".
Wearing his original trouser suit and cap which retains great colour but has torn open at the back and has

Dating to around 1910 this antique German Armand Marseille bisque doll is 16 inches in height. A pretty girl with blue sleep eyes, hair lashes, open mouth, all her teeth
and original hair wig. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a little kiln dust speckling from manufacture and
minor colour rub to cheek and nose tip. She's on her original wood and composition fully jointed body which does show wear to the finish, mostly to feet where the composition is especially worn
with surface loss to sides and soles (please ask for photos if required). She's also missing
top half of one finger end. Very nicely dressed in matching gown and bonnet with woolen wrap over slip, all garments in lovely clean condition. She's marked "Armand Marseille Germany 390n".
