Antique German Bisque Intaglio Character Boy Doll - £220.00
    Dating to around 1910, this antique German "Baby Stuart" type character boy doll is 15 inches in height. He has wonderful detailed features, intaglio eyes and closed mouth. He's on his original fully jointed "broomstick leg" body in excellent condition for years, all fingers and toes intact (minor chip to one toe and thumb). The bisque head has a little ingrained dirt and couple of fine firing scratches from the factory (below one cheek and beside neck mould line) but no chips, cracks or hairlines. The mould number mark is very faint and tiny within the hair, looks to read 142. The antique cream wool gown looks to be his original, there's also a knitted "onesie" which is quite tatty.

Antique German Bisque Kaiser
Type Character Baby Doll - £215.00
    Dating to around 1910, this wonderful antique German Kaiser
type baby doll is a harder to find cabinet size of just 9 inches in height. He has wonderful deeply moulded features, open/close mouth and finely detailed brush stroke hair. He's on his original bent limb baby body in excellent sturdy condition for years with just what looks to be a chip to one foot but has the original paint so it's actually a factory mould flaw. No damage or restoration, all fingers and toes intact. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head which is marked "B 4/0 Germany". The old blue gown displays well on him despite being a tad
playworn.

Original Black Antique Composition Topsy Baby Doll - SOLD
    Very
special antique black composition Topsy baby doll in fabulous all original
condition, the nicest example I've ever seen!. She's 12 inches in height
retaining full factory colour and sheen, original romper suit, nappy and perfect
wooly braids. She's a truly wonderful example who's obviously been well
treasured. Her complexion is excellent, all fingers and toes are perfect. Rarely
found in such superb all original condition, she'd make the perfect gift or
lovely addition for the discerning collector. No damage, fading or restoration
of any kind and her outfit is also excellent apart from small amount of surface
dust as to be expected.
All Original JD Kestner Jr Antique German Doll -
SOLD
    Dating to ca 1900 this adorable little JD Kestner Jr antique bisque doll is a very special all original find and perfect cabinet size of just 7 inches. She has the most wonderful innocent expression (no chips cracks or hairlines to bisque head), deep brown sleep glass eyes and open mouth with all her teeth. The fabulous long mohair wig has kept it's "sausage" ringlets nicely, just a tad tangled as you would expect. She's a true delight for display in original outfit complete with tiered silk gown,
exquisite cobweb lace detailing, dainty straw bonnet, undergarments and necklace with the tiniest pearls I've ever seen!. Outfit has preserved her straight leg jointed composition body nicely, all fingers intact.
The delicate nature of the fine silk has given rise to some shredding/wear but she was obviously a very well treasured little girl who has otherwise fared beautifully for over 100 years old. She's marked "133 - Made in Germany".

   All original cabinet size antique German Armand Marseille Red Indian doll, a lovely detailed boy complete with his two piece felt suit, leather belt, feather head dress, "blanket" and lots of cotton fringe trimmings!. He has the darkest brown
set glass eyes, open mouth, all his teeth and long black mohair wig. The jointed composition body is excellent, clothes have never been removed and
preserved it beautifully. All fingers perfectly intact. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head, he has super complexion and skin tone. Incised "20/0".
Outfit also in excellent condition for years, no damage or odours. He's 7.5 inches in height.

Large Antique German Simon & Halbig Child Doll - £395.00

    Stunning large size Simon & Halbig antique child doll, made for George Borgfeldt
circa 1915. A big beautiful girl with blue sleep eyes, virtually all lid wax
intact and original mohair braided wig (very good apart from light thinning). The bisque head is excellent, no chips cracks or hairlines, just a couple of teeny minor rubs to blush. Her open mouth retains perfect row of bisque teeth. She's on a ball jointed wood and composition body in good strong condition for years, a few expected scuffs/flakes and lower limbs are lightly grubby. All fingers and toes are intact. Wearing a delightful old outfit of lace cotton gown, full slip and cotton knickers along with socks and more modern shoes, all garments in excellent clean condition for years. A really lovely big Halbig doll for display, 23 inches in height, marked "Simon & Halbig GB".

    Beautiful
pale bisque
antique German child doll by Theodor Recknagel dating to around 1910. She's 18 inches
in height with gorgeous blue set glass eyes, super quality vintage ringlet
hair wig and open mouth with perfect bisque teeth.
She's on her original fully jointed wood and composition body showing some
paint/finish wear to legs but overall fair and sturdy for years, all fingers and
toes intact. The stunning
bisque head has two old stable hairlines, one possibly a factory firing flaw/hairline
curves just under an inch from
neck rim. The second runs upwards to back of one ear level (more photos
available on request). Also a small nose tip and cheek rub are mentioned for
accuracy. Beautifully dressed in antique flower print dress and several
items of cotton and lace undergarments (probably her originals) along with socks
and tiny felt shoes. All garments are in lovely clean condition for years, no moth,
stains or odours. She's marked "1909 DEP R.2/0.A.".

Antique German Armand Marseille 351 Dream Baby Doll -
SOLD
   Dating to the mid 1920's, this antique German Armand Marseille Dream Baby doll is the more sought after example on
AM's best quality "hump back" chunky composition body. She's 13 inches in height with blue sleep eyes, all lid wax retained and open mouth with both her bottom teeth.. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairline damage
just a couple of fine firing scratches and small flake to forehead. These are from her manufacture
as they're in the firing and are mentioned for accuracy. The original heavy composition bent limb body is in excellent sturdy condition for years, all fingers and toes intact. She is a delight for display in her wonderful antique outfit of cotton and lace undergarments,
cotton gown along with vintage lace cape and fine crochet bonnet. She's marked "AM Germany 351/3 1/2 K".
Large Antique French Bisque Limoges Cherie Doll -
SOLD
   Antique French Limoges shoulder head dolls are extremely hard to find and this one is a very fine example in lovely
condition for her years. She's 23 inches in height with original ringlet hair wig, deep brown sleep eyes, pierced ears and open mouth with all her moulded teeth. She's all original with cloth body and composition lower limbs, all in excellent condition for years, all fingers and toes intact, just an area of paint flaking to one calf. The bisque shoulder head has no chips, cracks or hairlines and there's no damage around the original ear piercings at all. Her ringlets are now a little tangled but wig is otherwise very good with fullness retained. Very nicely dressed in antique slip, shoes and stockings along with vintage dress and
fur trimmed hat. All garments in excellent clean condition for years. She has the faint "Fabrication Francaise Limoges" marking and
"Cherie 3".
All Original Early English Antique Wax Doll - Huge Size! -

   This early English antique wax-over composition doll is a super museum quality piece and wonderful large size of 31 inches in height. These wax dolls were known as "slit heads" due to hair being inserted into centre parting so we can reliably date her to at least 1860 (English slit head dolls were manufactured between the years 1800 - 1860). The face has nice moulding, deep blue glass eyes and lovely expression with faint hint of a smile. The thick wax of the shoulder head is excellent, only a couple of light surface
cracks (a far contrast from the "crazy faces" often associated with some thinner layered
wax-overs). Face has some age dirt as to be expected from a wax doll of her great age, she's completely all original with no repairs or restoration of any kind. She's on her original solid sawdust stuffed cloth body with the brown kid leather arms, Fabulous all original outfit complete with glass beadwork, bustle at the back, lots of fine lace trimmings and multi layered undergarments. A lovely rare find and fascinating part of English doll history. More photos available upon request.

1900 Antique German Simon & Halbig 1248 Child Doll - £250.00
   Dating
to ca 1900 this beautiful antique bisque head Simon & Halbig child doll is
18 inches in height. She has brown glass eyes, open mouth, all her teeth,
pierced ears (couple of teeny flakes around piercings) and lovely original hair
wig (firmly glued). The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a
light peppering of kiln dust to nose/beneath eyes from the factory. One outer
eye white has a hairline flaw within the glass which extends into the iris but
no damage to the surrounding bisque so I say this is possibly also from her
making. She's on her original fully jointed wood and composition body in
excellent condition for years, mainly just expected light paint wear to arms and a couple of nicely done old finger repairs. Wearing her original cotton
gown with stunning lace and pintuck detail. There's a hole to gown's top front
bodice and it's lightly dusty with age but displays beautifully on her just as
it is!. She's marked "1248 Simon & Halbig Germany S&H 6 1/2".

   Dating to around 1910 this very pretty 16 inch antique Armand Marseille German bisque doll wears the outfit made for her by her original child owner. She has blue sleep eyes (one small flake to lid wax), all her hair lashes, open mouth with perfect row of porcelain teeth and nice original wig. The bisque head has no chips, cracks or hairlines. She's on her original wood and composition fully jointed body overall in good strong condition for years, just missing one finger end. The outfit is
quite childlike in construction but a delightful part of her history and includes gown, onesie and real fur stole. She's marked "Armand Marseille Germany 390 A 2/0 M".

shoulderhead AM 370 child doll wearing her original outfit of fine silk lace trimmed gown and cotton/lace undergarments. She's
10.5 inches in height with deep brown sleep eyes, open mouth, all her teeth and original hair wig in a delightful coiled braid. She's on her original "stick" leg cloth body, jointed at the hip and shoulder with composition lower arms (all fingers intact). No damage to the bisque in fact I can't fault her apart from a small flake to eye lid wax and shoes are missing (small remnant of one shoe still stuck to one foot!). An extremely clean doll who's even prettier in real life!. She was obviously well treasured. She's marked "Armand Marseille Germany 370 - A 10/0 M".
Ca 1870's Antique German Parian Lady Shoulder Head Doll -

   This
early antique 15" German Parian doll is in superb condition for her years, dating to around 1870. She has an exquisite fine bisque shoulderhead with fabulous detail, moulded waved hair, blue hair band, pierced ears and original painted features.
The bisque is excellent with no damage, just a minor maker's flake to one ear piercing.
She's on her original sawdust stuffed cloth body, wide hips, nicely nipped in at waist, all superb for years, just a small old cotton patch to one knee.
The original lower parian limbs are also excellent complete with moulded heeled black boots (just minor little scuffs to boots).
Wearing her original hand worked lace trimmed cotton and undergarments, she's impressed "14".

  Dating to the mid 1920's, this adorable antique black AM Dream Baby doll is 18 inches in height. She's on her original composition baby body which is overall good, strong and sturdy but a few fingers and toes are chipped. Deep brown sleep eyes (loss to lid wax), open mouth and both bottom teeth. Some scuffing to hair paint but no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head. Just as found in her stunning complete outfit of full length lace trimmed cape, elaborate matching bonnet, cotton gown and
undergarments. All garments in excellent condition for their years but cape

    Wonderful
antique French bisque doll by SFBJ Paris dating to around 1910. She's 23 inches
in height with blue glass eyes in their original factory set, lovely full human
hair braided wig (original) and open mouth with perfect row of bisque teeth.
She's on her original fully jointed wood and composition body still retaining
it's factory stringing which has slackened just a teeny bit over the years but
perfectly strong and stable. Body has been overpainted over the years and
there's been some restoration to the toes. All fingers are intact. The stunning
bisque head has a factory firing flaw line which extends just under an inch from
neck rim (this is from her manufacture and perfectly stable). There are no
imperfections/damages to the bisque apart from this factory flaw. She's a
delight for display in her exquisite outfit of fine silk lace trimmed gown,
finely silky knitted bonnet and original multi layer undergarments with lots of
lace and tiny mother of pearl buttons (some very pretty hand embroidery to the
little short sleeved camisole with contrasting ribbon trims to the lace trimmed
knickers). All garments are in lovely clean condition for years, no moth or
stains (shoes are more modern). She's very faintly incised with the SFBJ circle
mark to neck with illegible faint lettering near head rim (lots more photos
available on request).

limb composition body is surface grubby but good sturdy condition, just a few

  Antique German bisque shoulder head AM "Mabel" doll, 22 inches" in height with blue sleep eyes (all lid wax intact), open mouth, full row of bisque teeth and vintage replacement ringlet wig. The bisque shoulder head has no damage. Mabel is on her original oilcloth and cloth body with expected dirt/wear. Lower legs have been either re-covered or replaced with softly stuffed white cotton. There's also a tear to the leather at top back torso which will have been done to view the shoulder head's maker's mark. Her lower arms are the original bisque with all fingers intact but a few little chips to undersides of finger tips. Just as found in her pretty vintage "Alice in Wonderland" style dress, big hair bow, pretty blue stone brooch and matching decoration to the sleeves. She's marked "Mabel Germany 1a". British Dean's Rag Book Antique Cloth Doll - £49.00
   Dating to the 1930's this Dean's Rag book "Baby Bunting" doll has Dean's wonderful classic moulded mask face with beautiful detailed features. She's 19 inches in height with golden furry fabric integral one piece body/outfit
and detachable muff around her neck. The stuffing has shifted over the years so her tummy feels a little flat and a non working squeaking device can be felt inside. Overall lovely condition for over 70 years of age, only lightly dusty with age as to be expected but no damage, stains or odour. This series of Dean's Baby Bunting dolls had a card swing tag instead of cloth Dean's label which inevitably became lost over the years but there's absolutely no mistaking Dean's unique facial characterstics and high quality of detail.

Antique German J.D. Kestner Doll (with rare fur eyebrows) - SOLD
   Dating
to around 1910 this absolutely stunning large antique JDK Kestner child doll has
the rare fur eyebrow inserts. She's 24" in height with blue sleep eyes (all
lid wax and eyelashes intact), open mouth, perfect teeth/tongue and long ringlet
human hair wig which looks to be original. The bisque head is beautifully
moulded and superb condition, free from any damage. The fur was inserted into
bisque cut outs at the Kestner factory, these are sometimes found to be a little
roughly cut but the only flaw I can find is a tiny stress line beneath one inner
edge. She's on her original ball jointed wood and composition body retaining
good factory finish, all fingers and toes intact. The sleep eyes will have been
reset at some point as there's additional eye plaster inside the head otherwise
no repaint or restoration at all. Beautifully dressed in lace trimmed rough silk
antique style outfit, leather shoes and antique undergarments, all garments
being immaculate. Overall a stunning example of this hard to find mould in
fabulous condition for her years. Marked "JDK 215 Germany" (more

600 DRGM Pouty Closed Mouth Boy Doll - £280.00 (RESERVED)
   Extremely handsome Armand Marseille character boy doll who's a rarer AM mould number 600 dating to around 1910. He's 13 inches in height with fabulous deeply moulded features, intaglio eyes and wonderful pouty closed smiling mouth. He's all original
on his firmly stuffed cloth body, jointed at the hip and shoulder with wood and composition ball jointed arms. The bisque shoulder head has no chips, cracks or hairlines, just a little ingrained dirt following head seam. Body is very good and clean for years, just a little cloth wear under arms and around joint pins. All his perfect little fingers are intact. This gorgeous rare little boy displays beautifully in his antique cotton gown with lots of lace and pintucks. He's marked "600 A 2 M - DRGM " with remains of original London shop sticker to his back .

Ca 1910 Antique Simon & Halbig K*R Walking Child Doll - £475.00 (RESERVED)
     Rare
antique German bisque head walking child doll by Simon & Halbig for Kammer
& Reinhardt dating to around 1910. 19 inches in height with blue sleep eyes,
all original lid wax, fine hair lashes and lovely soft mohair ringlet
replacement wig. She's on her original straight leg composition walking body in
excellent condition, retaining all fingers and toes and the walking action still
works perfectly. The fine bisque head has open mouth, tongue, perfect row of
original pearly teeth and pierced ears. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines
to the bisque head, just a minor fine firing scratch to one temple and near one
outer eyebrow which are from the factory and just mentioned for accuracy.
Beautifully dressed in fully lined fine cotton gown with tons of fancy
lace/embroidery detail, fastening with tiny mother of pearl buttons at the back.
Beneath this she has 3 layers of original undergarments. She also wears pretty
flower detail shoes, cotton socks and straw bonnet which are later additions.
She was obviously a highly treasured doll to have remained in such superb
condition today, marked "K&R Simon & Halbig 403 Germany".
Ca 1930's Large French SNF Antique Celluloid Baby Doll -

   Lovely example of a larger antique French celluloid baby doll dating to the 1930's. He's 21 inches in height with manual flirty sleep eyes (best left open as they're rather stiff), all his
lashes and lightly moulded curls. Antique celluloid dolls are rarely found in good condition due to their fragile nature but this baby has fared very well over the years with just a little ingrained dirt and minor hairline to top of torso opening. He has an excellent complexion, no dents or nibbles and good sturdy stringing so he poses nicely too. Wearing a vintage dress also in good
condition, he's a very handsome old French baby doll for display. Marked "SNF France (diamond) 52" to head and back.
Antique German Simon & Halbig K*R Mein Liebling Doll - SOLD
   Outstanding all original antique German 126 "Mein Liebling" character baby doll by Simon & Halbig for Kammer & Reinhardt (ca 1914). The bisque head is superbly moulded, beautiful pouty lips, open mouth, tongue and teeth, no cracks chips or hairlines. He has perfect blue sleep eyes (not lashed) and original hair wig in excellent condition. He's on his original composition bent limb baby body with only extremely minor signs of play, no damage or restoration, all fingers and toes intact. Wearing his original factory lace trimmed cotton shift also in lovely condition for it's years. This super character boy is 17 inches in height.   Adorable 15" antique German character baby doll by Schutzmeister & Quendt dating to around 1920. She has blue sleep eyes (all lid wax intact), open mouth, teeth, tongue and original hair wig (slightly tatty) The bisque head is free from chips, cracks or hairlines. The bent limb composition body (back stamped WP) is in excellent condition for it's years, all fingers and toes intact, just one thigh a teeny bit un-snug in it's socket (all limbs original to body). She a delight for display in her exquisite dainty Victorian silk/lace bonnet, lace trimmed antique gown and slip. All garments are in excellent, clean condition. She's marked with the intertwined S&Q mark and "201 Germany 6".
Antique British Bisque HL Willow Pottery Doll -

  Very special example of an all original 14" antique
English bisque shoulder head doll by Hewitt & Leadbeater Willow Potteries (Ca 1915). She's in beautiful clean condition with perfect bisque shoulder head, cloth body and original long slender pottery limbs (all fingers and toes intact). The original outfit includes exquisite embroidered cotton and lace gown, heavily lace trimmed cape, fancy lace trimmed embroidered wool and cotton bonnet with fine silk embroidered bonnet underneath. Underneath she wears multiple layers of cotton and wool undergarments and stockings. It's difficult to appreciate the superb intricate detail
of the outfit in the photos, it's truly spectacular. Sadly the shoes are missing otherwise all garments complete and immaculate. She's marked
"H & L Willow 3 England".
Large Antique
French Tete Jumeau Bebe Doll - SOLD

rare find large antique French Tete Jumeau Bebe doll, dating to 1885 -1899.
She's a very impressive large size of 27 inches in height with beautiful big bulbous glass eyes, closed mouth and pierced ears. She's on her original
fully jointed chunky body in very good strong condition for it's years (no back stamp).
The finger tips are rubbed but all her chubby fingers and toes are perfectly
intact. The bisque head is stunning but does have it's flaws.. she's hairlined twice from the forehead rim, one short, the other continuing downwards to side of nose where it
shows the most prominently. From here it then curves almost invisibly below the same cheek towards side seam of head. There is also a
couple of old minor chips to the eye cut out rims and short curved firing lines to one side
and underneath chin (this is factory flaw as the colour was fired in). The long wig is now quite thin and wispy so has been swept
up into a clasp at the back. The thick cork pate is firmly glued to the rim.
Beautifully dressed in Victorian cotton/lace dress, layered cotton undergarments, stockings and kid leather shoes along with her later additions of fur hat/muff set, earrings and costume brooch.
She bears the red stamp mark "DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU BTE SGDG 12 W9" to neck.

   Beautiful
rare find 14" antique German Armand Marseille
mulatto doll dating to the 1890's. She has deep brown fixed eyes in their original factory set, open mouth, all her
bisque teeth and original short style mohair wig. She's on her original fully jointed wood/composition body with the
original factory stringing (stringing safe and sturdy but worn a little slack at
the arms). The body is in excellent condition for it's years, original factory
finish, perfect fingers and toes. The beautifully moulded bisque head is a
stunning early mulatto tone with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Wearing her
original outfit, kid leather shoes and abundance of glass beads, she's marked "1894 AM
2/0 DEP".
Ca 1890's Large Antique Lucy Peck Poured Wax Doll

   This very special 22"
antique English poured wax Lucy Peck doll dates to around 1890 and has the rarer sleeping eye mechanism!.
The eyes are opened and closed by moving a wire lever mechanism from her tummy (some lid wax loss on closed eyes).
She's a truly stunning antique doll with poured wax shoulder head, turned to the right. Wax is in excellent condition for it's years, just a few minor scuffs and
light surface lineage to back of shoulder plate. She retains fabulous all original colour,
no fading or patchiness. The hair wig is a possible old replacement as there's fine hair inserts underneath.
She's on her original "Luck Peck" stamped body with chubby wax lower limbs, all excellent condition for it's years apart from chip to toes on left foot.
Wearing her exquisite original lace gown and 3 layers of cotton undergarments, all in excellent condition for their years.
She has been kept under a glass dome for most of her life which has preserved her beautifully.

All Original Early English Antique Poured Wax Doll

  Wonderful
rare find all original antique English poured wax doll standing at an
impressive 24 inches in height and dating right back to the
early 1860's. She has a superb poured wax shoulder head with the exquisite
detail you would expect from a high quality early English wax doll. The wax is in excellent condition for it's many years, just
one
stable surface line coming from the factory drill hole of shoulder plate
(probably done in manufacture). She has the rarer sleeping eye mechanism
(perfect working order) and original fine hair inserts. Her cloth body and chubby wax lower
limbs are all in excellent condition for their years, just a small chip on the
underside of finger tip and loss of one thumb tip which has worn down so
smoothly over the years that it's not immediately apparent.
Wearing her exquisite original lace gown, multi layers of undergarments and
fancy bonnet, all handworked with the finest detail (some expected shredding
amongst skirt of gown and a few little holes to bonnet).
She's a fabulous piece of early doll making history and obviously been well
treasured to have remained in such lovely condition today.

1920's Antique Armand Marseille Oriental Baby Doll

11" antique German AM baby doll, an adorable hard to find Oriental doll with brown sleep eyes and lovely pouty closed mouth.
He's on his original oriental tone composition baby body, in excellent condition with just a chip to one thumb and 2 chips to the composition at top of torso.
There's no chips, cracks or hairlines to the bisque head which is marked "AM ELLAR (in a star) "Germany 2K".
Wearing his original trouser suit and cap which retains great colour but has torn open at the back and has
holes (more photos of this baby available on request).
